Substance, Storage and Style

I had a tall order for the place I wanted to call home: it had to be one bedroom but spacious enough for out-of-town guests to come visit. I wasn’t sure I’d find such a place, not until I toured the luxury apartments at Onyx Glendale.

My apartment’s floor plan is called the 1B-E, a 910 square foot loft-style space with lots of storage and style. The layout is absolutely perfect for my needs. Not too big that I’m spending all my weekends cleaning but plenty of room for company.

You walk in to the spacious dining room/kitchen area. There’s a long row of countertop space along the wall and a huge island for even more room in the center. There’s also space for a dining table, something that makes me feel like a real grown up. The kitchen flows directly into the living room area, where the sunlight streams in the big windows. A door takes out onto the patio. I spend a lot of evenings out there, writing and listening to the sounds of the city.

Also on the bottom floor, the master suite. My bedroom is huge and I love the big window that looks out on the balcony. I have not one but two roomy closets, one a big walk-in. There’s also a full-size bathroom with doors that open both to the master suite and the main hallway.

My favorite part about this place is definitely the loft. A spiral staircase takes you up to the second floor loft, which overlooks the main area below. I took some suggestions from Pinterest and turned this area into my home office/guest room/art studio/yoga space. There’s enough room for a comfy futon and even another closet for storage. My guests love coming to stay here.

This luxury apartment at Onyx Glendale has everything I need and I’m so glad to call this place home.
